Nature
The setting sun illuminates this Pacific seascape at a famous arch near Rialto Beach, Washington. A beach trail is unusual in its fickleness: one must find the right consistency of sand and stone to support one's weight without sinking, else there's slippage, somewhat like slogging through mud. It's a two mile walk to Hole in the Wall. Low tide allows passage through the arch. At high tide one must ascend the headland with the aid of fixed ropes. The ascent is worth it for the view back to Rialto Beach.
