The afterglow of a sunset reflects off the rippled sand on this Pacific coastline. This is a remote location requiring an overnight stay; I was out for three nights and four days, total mileage about fourteen. The beach trail was challenging and the tides dictated travel times because at high tide certain sections of beach disappeared, leaving only waves and cliffs. The disparity can be huge: at high tide the spot from which I took the photo was easily under six feet of water.
