Nature
The Nualolo trail follows a ridge down from Kokee State Park passing through tropical rainforest to outlooks above the valleys of the Na Pali coast. The forest is rife with kahili ginger, a yellow flower notable for its strong fragrance. One can descend the Nualolo ridge to outlooks, contour above the valleys, and connnect with the Awaawapuhi trail for another collection of fantastic vistas on the return leg, followed by a road walk back to Kokee. It's a long day hike, leave early and pack plenty of water.
