Wet sand and murky seastacks are featured in a more typical scene along the Washington coast. Second Beach stretches for several miles and is bounded by headlands that are impossible to cross. Given the short distance from the trailhead to the beach, it is a favorite for campers as well as day trippers. The best composition for this photograph meant standing in the stream.
